Your HSA questions answered

You can contribute money to your HSA at any time. Through Sodexo, you’ll also be able to have money from your paycheck deposited into your HSA.

The IRS sets a limit on how much you can contribute each year. For 2025, it’s $4,300 for self-only coverage and $8,550 for family coverage. If you elect an HSA through your employer, your spouse and adult children (up to age 26) can open an individual HSA through Inspira. Spouses aged 55+ can contribute $1,000 a year and adult children can contribute up to the family limit of $7,750.

From cough medicine to prescription contact lenses to office visit copays and more, you might be surprised at all the expenses you can pay for with your HSA.

More HSA-eligible health expenses

The money in your HSA doesn’t disappear. It’s yours to keep, even if you change jobs or health plans. You choose to save or spend your funds on eligible health care expenses. Please note, if you change jobs, you must be enrolled in a qualified high-deductible health plan (HDHP) in order to contribute funds to the HSA.

You will receive your HSA debit card before January 1. Please remember to activate your card before using it on eligible expenses. You can view your HSA balances on the Aetna Member Website, Aetna Mobile app and at InspiraFinancial.com. You can submit Inspira Financial claims for reimbursement via the website or mobile app.
