Getting started with your plan
Your member ID card
Your member ID card—like the example shown here—identifies you as an Aetna member and contains important information about you and your coverage. Make sure to always present your ID card when receiving medical and prescription services. If you don’t have your physical card, you can view it on your smartphone through the Aetna HealthSM app.
Here are the areas of your card you’ll most often have to provide when receiving care. In addition, you will find important phone numbers on the back.
1. Group Number
2. Member ID Number
3. Plan name
4. Indicates national coverage
5. Prescription drug BIN number
Make sure your name is correct and the plan name that you enrolled in appears on your card. If you notice any errors, just call your Aetna advocate at 1-833-383-2650 (TTY: 711), Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM your local time.
